Exercise through the Hinge Health app
You can access your personalized care anytime, anywhere using the Hinge Health mobile app. Just sign in to the app on your smartphone or tablet to begin your guided exercises.
Your first app session
The first time you use the app, you’ll go through a few steps to finish personalizing your program.
The app will guide you through a short movement evaluation to help us tailor your program to you. You'll also set a weekly exercise goal to stay on track with your program.
The entire first app session typically takes about ten minutes.
Daily playlists
Starting the day after you complete your first app session, you'll receive a new daily playlist every day in your app.
Your daily playlist includes exercises tailored to you and other activities to help you reach your goals. As you complete playlists and provide feedback, the exercises in your program will change in intensity and challenge over time.
Playlists typically take 10-15 minutes to complete. We recommend you complete at least three playlists a week to manage your back or joint pain.

Step 1: Schedule a video visit with your physical therapist
Your first step is to meet with your physical therapist virtually through the Hinge Health app. Schedule an appointment in the My Care tab of your Hinge Health app.
Step 2: Complete your video visit
On the day of your visit, sign in to the Hinge Health app and follow the instructions on screen to join your video visit at the scheduled time. You can join your visit up to 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. During your visit, your physical therapist will evaluate you, answer your questions, and design a care plan for you.
Step 3: Access your program
After your video visit, you’ll have access to personalized exercises from your physical therapist, in-app messaging, and all the other features in your mobile app.
