How can I troubleshoot problems with my app?

We’re committed to making your experience in the Hinge Health app as smooth as possible. That said, we know that technology doesn't always work the way we expect it to. 


Most performance issues in your app can be fixed with a few simple troubleshooting steps:


1. Check your connection

The Hinge Health mobile app requires an internet connection. Make sure your device is connected to a reliable wireless network or cellular data for best results.


2. Install available updates

Be sure to install new app versions as they are released. Keeping your app up-to-date will get you access to all the latest features and app performance improvements.


Check for and install available updates from the Settings tab of your app. If you’d like, you can also enable automatic app updates to make sure your app is always up-to-date. Update this setting in the App Store or Google Play Store on your device.


3. Close and reopen the app

Minor issues can often be addressed by exiting and re-opening the Hinge Health app on your device.


iOS devices:

  1. Swipe up from the bottom to see all open apps on your device
  2. Find Hinge Health and swipe it up to fully close
  3. Reopen the Hinge Health app and, if prompted, sign in


Android devices:

  1. Tap the square or recent apps button
  2. Find and swipe up on the Hinge Health app to close it
  3. Tap the Hinge Health app and, if prompted, sign in


4. Delete and reinstall the app

If you're still having trouble after exiting and re-launching your app, try deleting and reinstalling the app on your device. 


Be sure to take note of your login credentials before uninstalling your app. You'll be required to sign in to the Hinge Health app again after your reinstall it on your device.


iOS devices:

  1. Touch and hold the Hinge Health app icon
  2. Tap Remove App 
  3. Open the App Store
  4. Search for "Hinge Health"
  5. Tap the Get button


Android devices:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app  
  2. At the top right, tap the Profile icon
  3. Tap Manage apps & devices and then Manage
  4. Tap the name of the app you want to delete
  5. Tap Uninstall
  6. Open the Google Play Store app
  7. Search for "Hinge Health"
  8. Tap Install
